A paper * presented by some Non-Governmental Organisations during the MOP-24 in Geneva (from the series of United Nations fine furniture Environment Programme - Meetings of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol) describes the preliminary results of a project in India to explore the possibility HFCs with avoiding a high GWP in new space-conditioners and air-conditioned cars and fix lower GWP alternatives. fine furniture
There are about 4 to 5 million fine furniture air conditioners in India. The Indian Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Manufacturers' Association (RAMA) predicts that by 2030, 300 million air conditioning units will be in service - an increase of more than 50 times the current number. Now use almost all air conditioners, produced and sold in India, HCFC-22. Most companies fine furniture that manufacture or import air conditioners in India have chosen HFK410A, with a high GWP of 2088. However, three companies (Godrej Industries, Daikin and Panasonic) manufacturing air conditioners in India and marketing plan to systems with lower GWP -koudemiddelen (HC 290- propane fine furniture and HFC-32) capability.
Use today almost all air-conditioned cars produced or marketed in India refrigerant HFC-134a, which has a GWP of 1430. Two companies in India - Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki - have a working prototype designed with HFO-1234yf for vehicles they intend exporting to Europe, fine furniture where new models fine furniture refrigerants with a GWP below 150 are mandatory. There are in India, however, uncertainties relating to the supply of HFO-1234yf.
The authors of the report conclude that India is technically capable to minimize the dependence of HFCs in the room and car air-conditioning, but regulations, refrigerant supply, safety, training, and funding should be set up yet.
