Astronesia -Batuan tested NASA's Mars rover, Curiosity, has been tested and presents a more varied composition than expected from previous missions. The rock also resembles some unusual rocks from the earth.
Mars rover team used two instruments wall plaques on Curiosity to study the chemical composition of the rocks that make up the size of a soccer ball called Jake Matijevic. The results support some surprising measurements recently and gave an example of why identifying the composition of the rocks is a major emphasis of the mission. The composition of the rocks tell the story of the invisible environment and the planet.
"These rocks have a close relationship in terms of their chemical composition to igneous wall plaques rock types known not found in many volcanoes on Earth," said Edward Stolper wall plaques of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
